CAD Technician
Job Description
Are you passionate about design, technology, and hands-on problem-solving? We're seeking a CAD Design & 3D Printing Assistant to support product development through 3D modeling, additive manufacturing, and prototype production. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys both computer-based design work and hands-on technical projects.
Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and modify 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks or similar CAD software
Convert sketches and concepts into production-ready designs
Prepare and optimize files for 3D printing
Set up, operate, and maintain 3D printers (FDM, SLA, SLS)
Use slicing software such as Cura, Orca Slicer, or Bambu Studio
Perform post-processing tasks including support removal, sanding, curing, and finishing
Inspect printed parts for quality and accuracy
Maintain organized project files and documentation
Collaborate with Design and Product Development teams to refine and improve designs
Required
Associate's degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in CAD, Engineering Technology, or a related field
Working knowledge of SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar CAD software
Familiarity with 3D printing technologies and slicing software
Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
Preferred
Experience with FDM, SLA, or other additive manufacturing systems
Exposure to product development or prototyping environments
Basic understanding of mechanical design principles
Experience with post-processing techniques and materials
Monday-Friday
8:00 AM-5:00 PM
40 hours per week
1-hour unpaid lunch

Pay Details: $31.28 per hour
