The role involves extracting bond and loan calculations from extensive legal documents and uploading them into a database similar to Access. You will manage large loan portfolios, some exceeding $1 billion, and handle transactions, daily cash reconciliation, and monthly and quarterly cash reporting for loan holders and investors. Attention to detail is crucial as you will ensure data accuracy by pulling client data from documents. Strong proficiency in Excel is essential, while basic knowledge of Access is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Extract bond and loan calculations from large legal documents.
- Upload extracted data into an Access-like database.
- Manage large loan portfolios, with values ranging from $300 million to over $1 billion.
- Handle transactions involving buying and selling portions of loans.
- Balance and reconcile daily cash flows.
- Report on monthly and quarterly cash positions for loan holders and investors.
- Ensure accuracy of client data extracted from documents.
Essential Skills
- 1+ year of experience in financial services, accounting, or analytical analysis, or a BS/BA degree or higher in Math, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, sorting, formulas, and functions.
- Ability to score 90% or higher on an Excel test within 30 minutes.
- Technical aptitude and readiness to learn.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in an analytical role or at a bank is a bonus.
- Preferred candidates have completed extracurricular activities or internships.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance, or Statistics.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
