Description:We are seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Injection Molding Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for operating injection molding presses, monitoring automated production processes, performing in-process inspections, and supporting secondary manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement while working in a fast-paced production environment.
This position offers opportunities for cross-training in cleanroom operations, stretch blow molding, and other manufacturing functions to support operational flexibility and team success.
Key Responsibilities

Production Operations
  • Operate injection molding presses to meet daily production schedules and quality requirements.
  • Monitor automated press operations and production output.
  • Perform de-gating, trimming, and handling of molded parts.
  • Conduct in-process inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Learn and operate multiple presses and related production equipment.
  • Participate in cleanroom and stretch blow molding operations as needed.
Equipment & Process Support
  • Assist with the operation of ancillary equipment, including oil heaters, water heaters, and other production support systems.
  • Support equipment setup, changeovers, and production readiness activities.
  • Document manufacturing process setups and operational data accurately.
  • Assist with routine preventive maintenance activities in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement efforts by providing input on manufacturing processes and procedures.
General Manufacturing Support
  • Assist in secondary operations, shipping, and other production areas as needed.
  • Operate parts washing equipment and perform cleaning activities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and operating procedures.
  • Arrive to work on time and maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
Requirements:

Required

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet production goals.
  • Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
  • Basic math skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in injection molding, plastics manufacturing, or production operations.
  • Experience with fluoropolymers.
  • Familiarity with quality inspections and manufacturing SOPs.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to follow written instructions and procedures.
  • Good judgment, problem-solving skills, and independent work habits.
  • Flexibility to support multiple production areas.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for most of the workday.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand motions.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 100 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment around production equipment and varying temperatures.
