We are looking for a pediatric Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat children and adolescents who have developmental, physical, sensory, emotional, or cognitive challenges that affect their ability to participate in daily activities. The therapist works with children and families to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care abilities, social participation, and independence at home, school, and in the community.

We are looking for a pediatric Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat children and adolescents who have developmental, physical, sensory, emotional, or cognitive challenges that affect their ability to participate in daily activities. The therapist works with children and families to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care abilities, social participation, and independence at home, school, and in the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate pediatric patients using standardized assessments, clinical observations, and caregiver interviews
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on each child’s needs and goals
- Provide occupational therapy interventions to improve:
- Fine motor and visual motor skills
- Sensory processing and regulation
- Handwriting and school readiness
- Activities of daily living (feeding, dressing, grooming, toileting)
- Coordination, strength, and motor planning
- Social and play skills
- Educate and collaborate with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and treatment records
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Recommend adaptive equipment or environmental modifications when appropriate
- Ensure compliance with professional standards, state regulations, and facility policies
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- NBCOT certification preferred or required
- Experience working with pediatric populations preferred
- Knowledge of developmental milestones and pediatric diagnoses such as:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- ADHD
- Developmental delays
- Sensory processing disorders
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to lift, move, and assist pediatric patients
- Ability to sit on floors, kneel, bend, and engage in active play-based therapy sessions
- Manual dexterity for therapeutic activities and equipment use
- Patience and compassion
- Creativity and problem-solving
- Strong observational skills
- Ability to build rapport with children and families
- Team collaboration and communication
