Electronics Assembler – Soldering

Location: Bellefonte, PA (on-site)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 hours, flexible start


About the Role

A specialty piezoelectric ceramics manufacturer in Bellefonte is hiring an Electronics Assembler for hands-on soldering and precision assembly work. The company has been manufacturing since 1979 and is the leading producer of specialty piezoelectric elements in North America, with parts going into defense, medical ultrasound, precision actuators, and industrial sensing.

What You'll Do

  • Perform lead attachment on piezoelectric ceramic components — the primary day-to-day responsibility
  • Solder wires, leads, and terminations to small ceramic parts and assemblies
  • Perform potting operations and work with molds and fixtures
  • Assemble small components requiring a high level of manual dexterity and precision
  • Follow work instructions, drawings, and established procedures
  • Perform visual inspection of your own work and flag parts that don't meet spec
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety requirements
  • Record production data and complete basic documentation as required
  • Work with production, quality, and engineering to resolve issues on the floor

What You Need

  • Hands-on soldering experience, or assembly experience with small precision components
  • Strong manual dexterity and steady hands; comfortable working with very small parts
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
  • Attention to detail and a quality-first mindset
  • Reliable attendance and the ability to work independently after training
  • Experience soldering in an electronics, medical device, or defense manufacturing environment

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 soldering standards
  • Experience with potting, epoxy, or encapsulation processes
  • Prior work in an ISO 9001 certified facility
  • Experience working with ceramics, sensors, transducers, or other small electronic components
