For additional information about our company, visit our website at www.fisherind.comPOSITION SCOPE The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely delivering, moving, loading and unloading a variety of items on construction sites. Must be able to run a 70,000lb forklift, moving and loading panels in confined spaces normally less than 50' in width. Seeking experienced forklift operators! PRIMARY DUTIESLoading and unloading materials from a variety of vehiclesMoving pallet-packed materials around the site or storage facilityChecking loads are securePerforming equipment checks and basic maintenanceFollowing written instructions and keeping recordsAdhering to health and safety regulationsChecks that loads are centered and properly stackedDetermines when repairs need to be made on equipmentCompleting physical tasks quickly and accuratelyBe compliant with OSHA rules and regulations as well as all company policiesPerform other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS18 years of age or olderHigh School Diploma or GEDPrior experience as a forklift operatorMust be able to work nights and weekendsForklift or heavy machinery certificationCompletion of forklift driving course, a plusPrevious OSHA training a plusValid Driver's LicenseAbility to read and understand packaging, shipping documents, and safety guidelinesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to perform basic mathExcellent hand-eye coordination, peripheral vision, and ability with spatial relationshipsEfficient individual with excellent time management skillsAbility to lift 50 lbs.Attention to detailWorking knowledge of basic tools and vehicle maintenance a plusFisher Industries is an Equal Opportunity Employer.We are a drug-free work environment requiring pre-employment and random drug testing.
