Compensation: $60,000–$80,000 annually, depending on experience
The Hire Mark is recruiting on behalf of a boutique insurance agency in North Hollywood seeking a Junior Commercial Lines Account Manager to join its growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with early-career commercial insurance experience who wants to develop into a well-rounded Account Manager. You'll work directly on commercial accounts, learn more complex coverage and placements, and take on additional responsibility as you grow.
This is a hands-on role. We're looking for someone who has actually worked with policies, certificates, endorsements, renewals, and client requests—not someone whose experience has primarily involved routing tasks to other departments.
ResponsibilitiesSupport the servicing and management of commercial P&C accounts
Prepare and process Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and Evidence of Property
Review policies for accuracy and identify discrepancies
Process endorsements and policy changes
Maintain accurate client files, documentation, and account activity
Assist with renewal submissions and marketing
Request and follow up on loss runs
Prepare applications, schedules of locations, and supplemental forms
Communicate with clients, carriers, underwriters, and wholesalers
Respond to client service requests promptly and professionally
Track outstanding items and follow through to completion
Support senior Account Managers and Producers
Take on increasing responsibility as experience and knowledge develop
1–3+ years of experience with a retail insurance agency in an account management, account assistant, CSR, or commercial lines support capacity
Commercial Lines experience strongly preferred
Understanding of commercial P&C insurance terminology and workflows
Experience with certificates, endorsements, policy checking, and renewals
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable communicating directly with clients and carriers
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
California Property & Casualty license preferred, or willingness to obtain one
Applied Epic experience is a plus, but not required
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, coachable, and eager to learn. You should be the type of person who catches an incorrect policy number, follows up without being reminded, and takes ownership of getting things done correctly.
We're open to someone who isn't an Account Manager yet but has the right foundation and wants to become one.
