Underground Haulage Truck Operator – Salt Mine Production

Step into a role where your skill behind the controls keeps an underground operation moving. As an Underground Haulage Truck Operator, you’ll transport salt and essential materials through the mine while upholding rigorous safety and operating standards.

A day in the mine

You begin by reviewing the shift plan and safety notes. Your haul truck is pre-checked, then it’s down into the headings to move salt from production areas to designated drop points. Between hauls, you may jump in to support basic upkeep on conveyors, crushers, and screening equipment so the material keeps flowing. Throughout the shift, you log production numbers and safety observations, and you finish with a final inspection and record updates.

What you’ll handle
  • Operate underground haul trucks to move salt and materials safely and efficiently.
  • Run additional mobile equipment as assigned to support underground operations.
  • Assist with basic maintenance on conveyors, crushers, and screening equipment.
  • Support the maintenance team with general tasks when required.
  • Follow MSHA regulations and site procedures at all times.
  • Maintain precise production and safety records.
What you bring
  • Heavy equipment operating experience.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to pitch in on maintenance tasks.
  • Strong safety focus and reliable judgment underground.
  • Comfort working in an underground mining environment.
  • Ability to perform physical work, including lifting 50+ lbs.
