About the Role

As a COTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist to design and implement individualized therapy plans for our patients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the development and implementation of occupational therapy plans of care

  • Conducting occupational therapy treatments, including exercises, activities, and modalities

  • Monitoring patient progress and reporting any changes or concerns to the occupational therapist

  • Maintaining accurate and thorough records of patient treatment and progress

  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care

  • Providing education and support to patients and their families to promote independence and community re-entry

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant program

  • Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and changes in priorities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients as needed
