Overview

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Full-Time

Neuro Rehab Outpatient Clinic | Monday–Friday | No Evenings, Weekends, or Holidays

Join a collaborative neuro rehab team where you'll provide 1:1, 60-minute treatment sessions that help adults recovering from neurological injuries regain independence and improve their quality of life.

In This Role, You'll:

  • Deliver personalized, hands-on therapy under the direction of an Occupational Therapist
  • Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, ADLs, functional activities, and adaptive equipment training
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to achieve meaningful patient outcomes
  • Educate patients and caregivers while maintaining accurate documentation
  • Utilize innovative technology and equipment in a supportive outpatient setting

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients in exercise, ADLs, functional activities, and the application/use of assistive devices in accordance with the treatment plan established by the Occupational Therapist
  • Assist Occupational Therapist in the collection of outcome measures and completion of complex treatment procedures
  • Educate patients, families, and other health workers on selected procedures and functional activities as directed by the Occupational Therapist
  • Participate in ongoing program evaluation and development
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all care provided
  • Maintain working knowledge of and adherence to the AOTA Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Degree from a certified occupational therapy assistant training program
  • Current Occupational Therapist Assistant certification and license to practice in state of application
  • Minimum of 1 year experience preferred, related to treatment of complex neurological injuries
  • Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques
  • Current CPR certification
