Salary: $235,000–$365,000
Direct Counsel is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join a leading global law firm's Global Commercial Disputes Group in Dallas. This opportunity is ideal for a mid-level associate with 3–5 years of experiencehandling complex commercial litigation and arbitration matters. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with attorneys across the firm while taking meaningful responsibility for active matters, client relationships, and litigation strategy.
ResponsibilitiesRepresent clients in complex commercial litigation and arbitration matters.
Manage multiple litigation matters simultaneously from inception through resolution.
Serve as the primary point of contact on assigned matters and coordinate with clients, attorneys, paralegals, and other legal staff.
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents.
Conduct legal research and develop case strategies and arguments.
Manage discovery and coordinate litigation activities across case teams.
Take and defend depositions.
Participate in hearings, court proceedings, arbitrations, and other contested matters.
Communicate directly with clients regarding case developments, strategy, and litigation objectives.
Collaborate with partners and other attorneys on sophisticated commercial disputes.
Take ownership of assigned matters while ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met.
J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
3–5 years of experience in complex commercial litigation and arbitration, preferably at a law firm or in a relevant in-house role.
Experience managing multiple litigation matters simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to serve as the primary point of contact on litigation matters.
Deposition and courtroom experience required.
Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
Excellent organizational and case management abilities.
Strong client communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with attorneys and legal support professionals.
Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced litigation practice.
Active Texas Bar admission required.
Competitive base salary of $235,000–$365,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
