Assembler: Rockford, Illinois
Our customer in Rockford, Illinois is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. As an Assembler, you will be responsible for performing basic assembly of small ball-nut components using hand tools and equipment while maintaining quality and safety standards throughout the production process.
Responsibilities of the Assembler:
- Perform basic assembly of small ball-nut components using hand tools such as screwdrivers, drills, and hammers
- Review part drawings and assembly instructions to ensure correct assembly of parts.
- Inspect product during assembly using measuring tools to confirm components meet specifications.
- Document daily production activities, including part counts and material usage, in the ERP system.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to maintain smooth workflow and meet production goals.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace using 5S principles.
- Assist with material handling, including moving raw materials and finished products as needed.
- Perform final quality checks on completed ball-nut assemblies to meet company and customer requirements.
- Any/all other duties as assigned.
Assembler Requirements and Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- High School Diploma/GED equivalent or relevant work experience.
- Experience using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Proficient in using hand tools including drills, screwdrivers, and impact tools.
- Ability to read and interpret part drawings and written instructions.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Basic math and documentation skills.
Pay for Assembler: Starting at $17.00/hour.
