Industrial Test & Reliability Technician

We're seeking a hands-on Industrial Test & Reliability Technician with strong mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting experience. In this role, you'll conduct critical testing, maintain advanced test equipment, and work alongside engineering teams to improve performance, reliability, and efficiency. The schedule requires flexibility in hours and shift availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct experiments to optimize processes by increasing speed and reducing cost.
• Conduct experiments to validate machine reliability.
• Maintain and upgrade test stands and testing equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul mechanical systems on test stands, including pumps, chillers, and gearboxes.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems on test stands, including I/O, PLCs, and power distribution.
• Operate general shop equipment, including forklifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts.
• Communicate effectively with management, supervisors, technicians, and engineering staff.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets specifications.
• Handle and dispose of hazardous materials in an approved manner.
• Set up safety equipment and work platforms.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong math skills, including Algebra and Geometry.
• Enjoyed science and math in school.
• 5+ years of maintenance technician experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years of experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and/or electrical repair.
• Extreme diligence while collecting and recording data.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physics, Chemistry, Math, and/or Engineering.
• Certificate or coursework related to the position.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and CAD drawings (hydraulic and pneumatic drawings are a plus).
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Millwright skills or industrial multi-craft/mechanical trades experience.
• Ability to write detailed repair reports using advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and other heavy equipment.
• Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment while following company policies, quality standards, and industry standards.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to operate with a high sense of urgency.
• Analytical thinker capable of identifying root causes and developing permanent solutions.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
• Ability to travel for short and extended trips as needed.
• Ability to work outdoors in heavy construction areas.
• Position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Work Schedule

This position works a four-day, 10-hour night shift schedule.

• Shift Hours: 6:00 PM – 4:40 AM
• Schedule Options: Monday–Thursday, Tuesday–Friday, Wednesday–Saturday, or Thursday–Sunday
• Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Meal Break: 30-minute unpaid meal break
