About the Role:

Shippenville Nursing and Rehab is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. As a PTA, you will play a vital role in helping our patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and regain independence. Responsibilities:

  • Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing personalized treatment plans for patients

  • Conduct physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress and treatment

  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and goals

  • Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in patient care, safety, and quality outcomes

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in physical therapy assistant or related field preferred

  • Must be certified by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or be eligible to become certified

  • Must be licensed to practice as a physical therapist assistant in the state of Pennsylvania
