Wraparound Therapist - Lancaster

A Therapist is responsible for specific clinical services to assigned adults, youth, andfamilies so that they may become healthy, independent and productive members oftheir communities. A Therapist is expected to exercise professional judgment anddiscretion as a significant practitioner in the successful integration of treatment forclients. For Wraparound staff, all training requirements per DMH contract must becompleted within the first year of employment. A Therapist works designated shiftsunder the direct supervision of the Clinical Supervisor.DUTIES:1. ACCEPTANCE OF CASES: Has a willingness to accept a variety of cases, conductsClient Outreach and engagement with other Intensive Services Team members inthe effort to enroll all eligible participants referred for Intensive services.2. ASSESSMENTS: Independently performs intake assessments and formulatesdiagnoses and case conceptualization using a culturally competent approach.3. OUTCOMES: Regularly identify and complete data outcome elements in a timelymanner.4. STRENGTH BASED: Is capable of accurately identifying and building on thestrengths of clients to better reach their potential.5. THERAPY: Provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence basepsychotherapy interventions, and case management as needed.6. REFERRALS: Demonstrates a sound knowledge of resources and ability to makeappropriate referrals.7. CLINICAL THEORY: Demonstrates a good understanding and use of clinicaltheory, interventions, and treatment concepts.8. RESPECT: Demonstrates respect for the intrinsic value of each person, theirindividual differences and culture.9. TRAVEL: Travels independently to various environments and transports client asneeded (buildings with stairs, various communities, schools, etc.).10. COLLABORATION: Regularly collaborates with Masada Staff, clients, caregiversand supports, and other members of the clinical team.11. ETHICS: Is able to set and follow appropriate boundaries and uphold legal andethical standards as they pertain to mental health services, maintainingprofessional partnerships.12. PROBLEM SOLVING: Is able to solve problems independently with minimalsupervisory direction.13. SKILLS: Demonstrates sound written and oral skills.14. DOCUMENTATION: Submits thorough documentation including initialassessment, progress notes and notations demonstrating frequentcollaborations with treatment team members.15. PRODUCTIVITY: Completes timely documentation of all contacts with clients andmaintains productivity standards set forth by the agency Tier System andinternal policies.16. FIELD STANDARDS: Able to meet and maintain field percentage standards setforth by the contract for services and internal policies.17. CRISIS: Ensures the safety of clients by providing direct crisis intervention andtherapeutic guidance and participates in the 24-hour/day, 7-day/week on-callcrisis response system; communicates critical issues to supervisor and team in atimely fashion.18. MEETINGS: Is prompt and participates in meetings, group supervision, casepresentations, and in-service training and conferences as required andscheduled.19. CONFIDENTIALITY: Maintains strict confidentiality over all records andinformation related to clients.20. OTHER: Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.QUALIFICATIONS:1. Valid California license as a LCSW, MFT, PhD, or PsyD; or master's degree andcurrent registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as anAssociate MSW or MFT Intern, LPCC or APCC with 6 semester units or 9 quarterunits focused specifically on the theory and application of marriage and familytherapy in each license renewal cycle.2. Work experience in a comparable mental health setting.3. Valid California Driver's License, good driving record, and must be able to driveto fulfill the duties of the position.
