Matrix Providers is hiring a Physical Therapist to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our Military Service Members and their families in at Naval Hospital, Jacksonville Florida.

  • Employment Status: Full Time
  • Compensation: $47.50- $50.00/hr
  • Schedule: Monday through Thursday 6:30 am to 5:00pm and Friday 6:30 am to 3:00 pm on Friday. Schedule to be determined by department based on patient care.
    • Current schedule: Monday to Thursday 8:45 am to 5:30 pm and Friday 7:00 am to 2:30 pm. Lunch 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm

The Physical Therapist must have and meet the following:

  • Degree: Master's degree in physical therapy or Baccalaureate degree in physical therapy for graduates prior to January 1, 2002.
  • Education: Graduate from a college or university approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
  • Experience: Possess a minimum of 12 months of experience within the past 15 months as a Physical Therapist.
  • Certification: Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association, or American Red Cross Healthcare Provider Course.
  • Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a physical therapist.

Physical Therapist Core Job Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive physical therapy services for patients across multiple specialties, including Orthopedics, Primary Care, General Medicine, Surgery, and Rheumatology.
  • Conduct patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, referrals, and rehabilitation goals.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions including exercises, manual therapy, soft tissue mobilization, traction, and functional training.
  • Administer physical therapy modalities and equipment such as ultrasound, whirlpool, moist heat, and other therapeutic agents.
  • Assess patient progress, modify treatment plans as needed, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, home exercise programs, mobility techniques, and assistive device use.
  • Evaluate, fit, adjust, and recommend modifications for prosthetic and orthotic devices to improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and address treatment needs.
  • Provide guidance and support to physical therapy assistants, technicians, aides, and students.
  • Participate in rehabilitation meetings, quality improvement initiatives, peer reviews, wellness programs, and professional development activities.
