Maintenance Engineer

Summary:

Responsible for the general repair and maintenance of the hotel property

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs general repairs and maintenance as required
• Responds to trouble calls as reported by other departments
• Keeps maintenance shop organized and takes care of tools and equipment
• Assists in other areas based on trade knowledge (i.e. plumbing, electrical, HVAC)
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures
• Maintains and ensures compliance of all policies and procedures

Other Functions:

• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma; 2 years of general maintenance experience preferred

Fluent in Spanish preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

General knowledge of tools and building materials

Strong interpersonal skills required

Strong organizational and time management skills required

Ability to verbally communicate with others

Working Conditions:

Work is not performed in an office environment and requires evening and weekend hours.
