Veterinary Receptionist

Mattydale Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced, motivated, and compassionate receptionist to join our privately owned practice. We are a close-knit team that values collaboration, respect, and exceptional patient and client care. We are looking for a receptionist who is not only organized and dependable, but also willing to be an active member of our team.

Responsibilities include:

1. Promoting teamwork, communication, and a positive workplace culture
2. Greet patients and pet parents for appointments
3. Checking in patients and obtaining a clinical history
4. Take payment, print receipts and fill routine medications
5. Maintain printers, paper stock and associated items
6. Manage busy phone lines and appointment requests
7. Entering patient/client information into computer software system
8. Explain estimates, going over medications and discharge instruction
9. Working alongside the veterinary team as needed and be willing to cross train in all areas of the hospital, including veterinary assistant

Qualifications:

1. Previous veterinary experience preferred
2. Excellent customer service skills
3. Strong organizational, communication, and problem solving abilities
4. Ability to remain calm, confident, and effective in stressful or fast paced situations
