Position Summary

We are seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians to support the maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and installation of industrial equipment, machinery, and facility systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience with industrial maintenance, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, or related areas.

Maintenance Technicians will be responsible for keeping equipment and facilities operating safely and efficiently through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment improvements.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other equipment-related issues.
  • Inspect machinery and equipment to identify potential problems and perform necessary repairs.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and design sketches.
  • Install, remove, relocate, modify, and upgrade equipment as needed.
  • Repair and replace mechanical and electrical components.
  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment to fabricate, modify, and repair parts and equipment.
  • Operate or assist with machining equipment such as drill presses, lathes, mills, and other metal-cutting equipment.
  • Perform welding, fabrication, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and equipment, including AC/DC systems and controls.
  • Work with electrical systems ranging from low voltage up to 480V, depending on qualifications and job assignment.
  • Assist with troubleshooting industrial controls, servo systems, PLCs, and CNC equipment when applicable.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
  • Work with outside contractors and vendors on major equipment repairs, installations, and facility projects.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, PPE requirements, and applicable electrical and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical degree, industrial maintenance certificate, or related post-secondary education preferred.
  • Previous experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, machine repair, fabrication, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment problems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair both electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
  • Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
  • Basic plumbing, carpentry, or building maintenance experience preferred.
  • Ability to safely use torches and welding equipment when required.
  • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety and OSHA lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and troubleshoot difficult or unusual repair issues.
  • Basic computer skills for maintenance records and documentation.
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Forklift and/or scissor lift experience or certification preferred.

Additional Skills – Preferred

  • PLC troubleshooting and programming knowledge.
  • CNC machine experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting 12–480V electrical systems.
  • Experience with servos, motor controls, and industrial automation.
  • Machining experience, including milling, turning, drilling, or similar operations.
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Experience with NFPA 70E and electrical safety practices.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Education & Experience

A combination of education, technical training, and hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, machining, fabrication, or a related field will be considered.

Compensation will be based on experience, technical skills, and level of responsibility.
