Machine & Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic

The Machine & Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and safety of machinery and vehicles by performing thorough inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance. Working primarily within a small team and reporting to the Fleet Manager, this position requires frequent travel between sites and a flexible work schedule that includes shift work, nights, and weekends. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills and a commitment to safety and efficiency in all maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment repair and vehicle inspection to maintain operational efficiency
• Conduct preventive maintenance and diagnostic testing to identify and resolve issues
• Service and repair hydraulic systems and replace parts as needed
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
• Collaborate effectively within a small team and report progress to the Fleet Manager
• Travel frequently between sites to provide maintenance support
• Work flexible shifts including nights and weekends to meet operational demands

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance
• Technical diploma in automotive or mechanical technology
• Valid driver's license
• Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting and vehicle diagnostics
• Experience with hydraulic systems and welding
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance and safety compliance
• Effective communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
