Special Education Teacher - Santee, CA

Position runs from August 19, 2026, through June 10, 2027, with hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 11:44 a.m.

Essential Qualifications:

• Current, active California credential in Mild/Moderate Special Education (must meet requirement prior to start)
• Experience teaching or supporting students in the special education setting, preferably with mild/moderate populations
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive educational experience for all learners
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans for students in grades 4-6 with mild/moderate needs
• Adapt curriculum and modify teaching strategies to ensure student success
• Monitor progress, maintain records, and communicate regularly with families and staff
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
