Our established, patient-centered dental practice in Queens, NY is seeking an outstanding Registered Dental Hygienist ( Part Time) who takes pride in delivering exceptional clinical care while creating a warm and comfortable experience for every patient.

Responsibilities
Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to promote optimal oral health.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental x-ray equipment, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current medications to inform treatment plans.
Educate patients on proper dental care techniques, including brushing, flossing, and dietary advice tailored to pediatric dentistry when applicable.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Dentrix in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Follow strict infection prevention protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination and ensure patient safety.
Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a busy dental office or clinic environment.
Experience
Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix for managing patient records and appointments.
Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and healthcare infection prevention standards.
Hands-on experience with dental equipment operation, including X-ray machines and sterilization tools.
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations, providing clear instructions on dental care and treatment procedures.
Certification in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program; licensure compliant with state regulations is required.
