Quality Control (QC) Supervisor

Location:Brooklyn (On-site)
Schedule: [AM/PM] | [Days & Night] | Full-time
Pay rate: $21 - $25 per hour (Based on candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities)

Role Summary

The QC Supervisor leads the Quality Control team to ensure production meets company standards for quality, food safety, and accuracy. This role is responsible for daily QC execution, team supervision, training, audit validation, and cross-functional coordination to keep operations moving efficiently while maintaining GMP/BPM compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervision & Team Leadership ? Lead daily QC floor execution and ensure coverage across stations/tasks.
  • Coach, support, and hold the team accountable to quality and productivity expectations.
  • Build/adjust schedules to match daily needs and reduce downtime. Training & Development
  • Train and onboard new hires on QC processes, tools, and internal organization.
  • Train team members on recipe identification, ingredients, audit expectations, and quality standards.
  • Support ongoing refreshers for food safety and audit readiness. Quality Control & Verification
  • Perform and/or verify QC checks including visual inspection, weight, temperature, and counts.
  • Ensure daily production is recorded correctly and verified.
  • Conduct double-checks of carts before moving to MAP (labels, counts, data accuracy) and correct issues before handoff.
  • Follow up on missing components or ingredients and coordinate resolution once items are available.
  • Audits & Documentation
  • Plan and assign audits for new or updated recipes and validate audit results.
  • Review submitted photos and confirm audits meet standards.
  • Document plating/quality deviations in Parsley (“Problematic Plating”) and communicate outcomes (approved/rejected) with clear feedback.
  • Cross-Functional Communication
  • Partner with Culinary, FFM, Logistics, and MAP to manage shortages, replacements, and special requests.
  • Communicate delays, issues, and status updates clearly to keep production moving and support rotation.
  • Flag operational problems and escalate recurring issues when needed. Operations & Continuous Improvement
  • Manage timecards and resolve hour discrepancies.
  • Support cleanliness/organization of QC areas and report equipment issues (printers, computers, refrigerators).
  • Track errors and performance indicators; create action plans to reduce repeat mistakes.
Qualifications Required
  • 1+ years of experience in a QC lead/supervisor role (food production or manufacturing preferred)
  • Working knowledge of GMP/BPM and food safety practices
  • Strong attention to detail (labeling, counts, audits, documentation)
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, on-the-floor production environment
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (verbal and written) — required Preferred
  • Experience with recipe audits, labeling systems, and cross-functional coordination
  • Experience using production/QC tools and platforms (audit tools, SKUs, production tracking)
