Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production activities within a manufacturing environment, managing a small team of 6 - 8 employees. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this role ensures production quality, safety compliance, and schedule adherence during day shifts. The supervisor utilizes manual scheduling and reporting tools, fostering efficient operations while providing opportunities for advancement into higher management roles. Proficiency in both English and Spanish is preferred to support effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate a small production team
• Manage production schedules to meet operational targets
• Ensure compliance with quality control and safety standards
• Implement lean manufacturing practices to optimize efficiency
• Oversee inventory management aligned with production needs
• Identify and resolve operational issues for smooth workflow
• Coordinate shipping and receiving related to production
• Communicate effectively with team members and Plant Manager

Required Qualifications

• Experience in production scheduling and quality control
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
• Strong understanding of safety compliance requirements
• Experience in inventory management and shipping & receiving
• Demonstrated team leadership and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and time management abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing supervision with emphasis in mechanical assembly
• Proficiency in English and Spanish languages preferred.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
