Position Responsibilities
Teachers will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons aligned with the Florida B.E.S.T. Standards.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Maintain a positive, structured, and Christ-centered classroom environment.
- Integrate Biblical principles and Christian values into daily instruction.
- Utilize student assessment data, including i-Ready and classroom assessments, to guide instruction.
- Collaborate with administration and fellow teachers to improve student achievement.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding academic progress and student behavior.
- Maintain accurate lesson plans, attendance, grades, and student records.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school events, and required trainings.
- Foster a classroom culture built on respect, responsibility, integrity, and kindness.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field (required)
- Florida Teaching Certificate or eligibility to obtain certification (preferred)
- Experience teaching elementary or middle school students
- Strong classroom management skills
- Knowledge of the Florida B.E.S.T. Standards
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- A passion for Christian education and student success
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional learning community
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with i-Ready, HMH, Renaissance, or similar instructional programs
- Experience using student data to drive instruction
- Familiarity with differentiated instruction and small-group teaching
- Technology proficiency with Google Workspace for Education
