Automotive Controller | Hampstead Pre-Owned

Hampstead pre-owned is looking for an experienced Automotive Controller to join our leadership team and oversee the accounting and financial operations of our busy, high-volume dealership.

We sell approximately 175–200 vehicles per month, and we're looking for a strong dealership accounting professional who understands the pace and demands of a successful pre-owned operation. This is an opportunity to take an important leadership role with a growing dealership and make a direct impact on our financial and operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead all dealership accounting and financial operations
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
• Maintain strong accounting controls and operational procedures
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions
• Monitor cash flow, budgets, and key financial performance metrics
• Ensure accurate and timely accounting for a high-volume pre-owned operation
• Maintain compliance with lender and regulatory requirements
• Partner with dealership leadership on strategic and operational business decisions
• Recruit, train, mentor, and develop accounting team members
• Coordinate with auditors, tax professionals, lenders, and other financial partners
