ELL/ESL Teacher

Overview

Help multilingual learners build language confidence and academic success. As an ELL/ESL Teacher, you’ll provide targeted support through push-in and pull-out services, helping students in grades 3–8 and 9–12 access grade-level learning while developing strong English language skills. Required Skills

• Current Missouri ELL/ESOL/ELD certification
• Experience in a public or private school setting, such as:
• Substitute teaching
• Teaching assistant (TA)
• Interventionist
• Ability to deliver ELL/ELD instruction in a push-in and pull-out model
• Comfort supporting multilingual learners in grades 3–12 (with responsibilities assigned based on the role)

Nice to Have Skills

• Prior experience working with students across multiple grade bands (elementary/middle and/or high school)
• Background supporting English language development through intervention-style instruction (e.g., scaffolding, targeted language practice)

Preferred Education and Experience

• Preferred: Educator preparation suitable for ELL/ESOL/ELD licensure
• Experience level: Prior school-based experience is required (public or private school setting). The specific role types include substitute, TA, or interventionist experience.

• Schedule:
• Grades 3–8: Mon–Fri, 7:00 am – 4:00 pm
• High School (grades 9–12): Mon–Fri, 7:00 am – 4:00 pm
• Certifications: Must hold a current Missouri ELL/ESOL/ELD certification
• Positions available:
• Four ELL teachers for push-in/pull-out services in grades 3–8
• One ELL teacher for push-in services in grades 9–12
