Industrial Painter

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking an Industrial Painter for our client in Portland, OR. The successful candidate will bring hands-on coating experience and strong safety habits to a fast-paced steel coating operation.

Pay & Schedule

Pay: $30–$35/hr, DOE

Schedule: Monday–Friday, day and swing shift schedules available.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces to receive coating.

• Proficiently apply liquid coatings to steel products to SSPC standards.

• Operate forklift and blast recovery equipment.

• Assist with sandblasting operations.

• Maintain equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of industrial painting experience.

• Ability to work under minimal supervision.

• Strong safe work habits and safety awareness.

• Ability to perform physically demanding work.

Work Environment

This role is based in an industrial coating facility where employees prepare and paint steel products to SSPC standards and operate forklifts and blast recovery equipment. The work is physically demanding, involving prolonged standing, lifting, and exposure to fumes, dust, and coating materials, requiring consistent use of proper PPE and safe work practices.
