Patient Care Coordinator / Front Desk
SWICFT Cardiology, located in downtown Naples, is actively seeking a Patient Care Coordinator for a busy cardiology practice. Looking for a candidate with a specific skill set to work closely with patients in a concierge level care setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in either internal medicine or cardiology and possesses clinical knowledge of common medications and general healthcare conditions.

Looking for a candidate with a specific skill set to work closely with patients in a concierge level care setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in either internal medicine or cardiology and possesses clinical knowledge of common medications and general healthcare conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Answer patient calls efficiently ensuring patients are able to speak with a team member throughout the day in a timely, polite, and professional manner.
- Communicate with patients in a courteous, professional, cooperative, and mature manner.
- Accurately take messages and convey information to physician, medical assistant or patient.
- Work closely with physician to input orders for labs and testing under the appropriate diagnoses.
- Coordinate testing/patient appointments within office and/or with outside imaging centers if needed.
- Schedule and reschedule appointments as needed.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to urgent situations.
- Collect and input insurance information in patient charts.
- Collect payment/co-pays at check in/check out.
- May be required to perform the duties of other employees in their absence.
Skills/Requirements:
- Proficient computer skills with knowledge of electronic medical records.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Previous cardiology or internal medicine experience preferred, but the right candidate can be trained.
- Attention to detail and organized.
- Ability to work as a member of a team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical office experience desired, preferably in cardiology or internal medicine.
- Medical terminology knowledge.
- Clinical experience required.
