Crusher MechanicPosition Title: Crusher MechanicLocation: Montezuma County Road & Bridge DepartmentDepartment: Road & BridgeReports To: Lead ForemanSummary:We are seeking a skilled and reliable Crusher Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on rock crushers, conveyors, screens, and related heavy equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, takes pride in high-quality work, and can work safely and effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment.Key Responsibilities:Inspect, diagnose, and repair crushers, conveyors, screens, and other aggregate equipmentPerform routine and preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtimeTroubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issuesReplace and rebuild components such as bearings, shafts, rollers, belts, and gearboxesWeld, fabricate, and make structural repairs as neededMaintain accurate records of repairs and maintenanceFollow all company safety policies and OSHA/MSHA regulationsCollaborate with operators and supervisors to ensure equipment reliabilityQualifications:Previous experience as a crusher mechanic or heavy equipment technicianStrong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical systemsAbility to read technical manuals and schematicsWelding and fabrication experience preferredAbility to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying outdoor conditionsStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailValid driver's license; CDL Class A preferred Work Environment:This role involves working outdoors, around heavy equipment, and may require bending, lifting, climbing, and exposure to dust, noise, and weather conditions.Schedule: Monday thru Friday 7:00am to 5:00pm: On-call for snow plowing in the winter.BenefitsCompetitive payHealth, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement plan optionsPaid time offOpportunities for training and career growth
