That's Minor Customs, a classic car restoration and repair facility, is seeking a Body Technician/Fabricator to join our onsite team in Sterling Heights, MI.
Position SummaryAs a Body Technician/Fabricator, you will help restore, repair, and fabricate automotive body components to a high-quality standard on classic cars and hot rods. You will work with a hands-on mindset to assess vehicle condition, perform precision repairs, and contribute to clean, durable finished results.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented technician who takes pride in craftsmanship and can follow established processes while maintaining a safe, organized work environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesInspect vehicle damage and determine appropriate repair and fabrication methods.
Perform bodywork and fabrication tasks, including panel repair, metal shaping, and component installation.
Prepare surfaces for repair and finish work, ensuring proper alignment, fit, and quality standards.
Use common automotive fabrication and body repair techniques to complete repairs efficiently and accurately.
Maintain a clean, safe workspace and handle tools and equipment responsibly.
Experience performing automotive body repair and/or fabrication work.
Ability to read and interpret repair requirements and follow quality standards.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on workmanship.
Commitment to safety practices and proper tool/equipment usage.
Reliable attendance and the ability to work onsite full-time in Sterling Heights, MI.
Demonstrated experience with collision repair and restoration processes.
Familiarity with repair workflows that involve teardown, assessment, and reassembly.
Ability to troubleshoot fit and finish issues and make adjustments to achieve proper results.
Experience working with multiple repair types while maintaining consistent quality.
Hourly rate: $30.00 - $50.00
