Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Kitchen Manager to lead back-of-house operations in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant. This leadership role is responsible for maintaining exceptional food quality, managing kitchen staff, controlling costs, and ensuring efficient daily operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives under pressure, excels at team development, and is passionate about delivering outstanding culinary experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistent food quality, presentation, and execution.
  • Lead, coach, and develop kitchen staff while fostering a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture.
  • Manage food, labor, and operating costs to achieve financial and performance goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, health department, and company standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order products, and maintain accurate receiving and storage procedures.
  • Create efficient staff schedules and maintain appropriate staffing levels during high-volume service periods.
  • Partner with front-of-house leadership to ensure seamless communication and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Train and onboard new kitchen team members while promoting continuous development and adherence to recipes and standards.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment and coordinate repairs to minimize operational downtime.
  • Assist with menu implementation, recipe execution, and operational improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of kitchen management experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills with the ability to motivate and mentor diverse teams.
  • Solid understanding of food and labor cost management, inventory control, and kitchen financial performance.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and health department compliance.
  • Experience with Latin, Cuban, or scratch-kitchen concepts is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and high-quality standards.
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
