CDR General Services is seeking a reliable and safety focused Fire Watch professional to join our team in Belle Chasse, LA. This Temp to Hire opportunity is ideal for a responsible individual who can monitor work areas, identify potential fire hazards, and help maintain a safe working environment, especially during industrial operations such as welding, cutting, or hot work activities.   • Shift: First Shift
  • Pay Rate: $12.50–$15.00 per hour (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor work areas during and after hot work activities to identify potential fire hazards
  • Maintain constant awareness of surroundings and report unsafe conditions immediately
  • Ensure proper fire prevention procedures are followed
  • Inspect work areas for sparks, heat sources, and potential hazards
  • Maintain communication with supervisors and work crews regarding safety concerns
  • Use fire extinguishing equipment when necessary and follow emergency procedures
  • Complete required safety documentation and reports
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Previous Fire Watch, industrial, shipyard, construction, or safety-related experience preferred
  • Ability to remain alert and attentive for extended periods
  • Knowledge of basic fire safety procedures is a plus
  • Ability to follow safety instructions and communicate hazards effectively
  • Ability to work in an industrial environment, including exposure to varying temperatures and conditions
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and attention to detail
