Shot Blast Material Handler

Smith Personnel is recruiting for a Shot Blast Material Handler

This position will work in our shot blast department loading and unloading materials and parts onto blast feed conveyors using a sit-down forklift. Ability to read work orders, drawings, and perform bar code scanning for labor reporting is required. The candidate will have a demonstrated knowledge and experience to operate the forklift in a safe and efficient manner at all times. Special emphasis on moving long objects in somewhat small spaces. In house training, certification, and testing will be required. Additionally, candidate will learn operation and minor maintenance of the blast machine as well. There is growth potential in this department once forklift proficiency and shot blast machine operation are achieved. This is a full-time permanent position, but other duties may be assigned as needed, particularly grinding parts and helping on the paint line.

Pay:$16.00
