The Events Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards and applicable laws. This position maintains a clean, organized, and well-stocked mobile bar while creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and guest preferences.
- Verify guest age and ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and company policies.
- Provide friendly, attentive, and professional customer service.
- Set-up and Breakdown of Mobile Bar for on-site and off-site catering events
- Process credit card, and other payment transactions accurately with Handheld POS system. Quick troubleshooting ability.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary bar area throughout each shift.
- Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies as needed.
- Monitor guest consumption and refuse service when appropriate in accordance with responsible alcohol service guidelines.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including inventory, cleaning, and POS reconciliation.
- Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure excellent guest experiences.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, health, and safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Minimum age as required by state law to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Previous bartending or hospitality experience preferred.
- Knowledge of standard drink recipes, beer, wine, and spirits.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math and POS handling skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands.
- Responsible alcohol service certification preferred or required, depending on state and local regulations.
This position works in an on-site and off-site mobile bar setting and requires frequent interaction with guests and team members. Professional appearance, punctuality, teamwork, and adherence to company policies are essential for success in this role.
Requirements:Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 30 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds with assistance.
- Reach, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive motions.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to noise, heat, and wet surfaces.
