Dental Hygienist Duties & Responsibilities:
%CF; Talk to patients and make sure they feel comfortable
%CF; Look for signs of gum disease, infections, or cavities
%CF; Remove plaque and apply fluoride or other sealants to prevent cavities and tooth decay
%CF; Explain good oral hygiene techniques to patients of all ages
%CF; Provide post-operative health education to patients
%CF; Take x-ray images of the patients’ teeth
%CF; Work with dentists to decide the best form of treatment for a variety of dental disease
%CF; Keep detailed records of each patient’s visit and update their health history
Dental Hygienist Requirements:
%CF; Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in registered dental hygiene program preferred, associate’s degree required.
%CF; At least 1-2 years of experience in dental hygiene (preferred)
%CF; Has dental hygienist licensure in AZ
%CF; Current CPR certification
%CF; Understands HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines
Dental Hygienist Days and Hours: Monday-Thursday
