MDT Case Coordinator- Child Advocacy Center
Job Description
Catholic Charities Washtenaw seeks an experienced professional to fill a full-time Case Coordinator position within the Washtenaw Child Advocacy Center, a program that provides critical services to child victims of sexual assault and their non-offending caregivers.
The Case Coordinator works to reduce trauma to child victims and facilitates access to appropriate services including law enforcement, childrens protective services, medical providers, and prosecutors. Position is responsible for managing the complex forensic interview scheduling process of suspected sexually assaulted child victims and assists the Crisis Counselor with appropriate referrals for mental health treatment and/or other services and with crisis counseling of victim families.
As an employee of CCWC reporting to the Program Manager, the Case Coordinator works collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team of community partners including law enforcement, child protective services, and the county prosecutors office. Other duties include case tracking and maintaining statistical data and serving as backup for the Crisis Counselor when needed.
Qualified candidates must possess a bachelors degree in social work, psychology, counseling, criminal justice or a related field with 5 years experience in child abuse, crisis intervention, child development, and/or the criminal justice system. Masters degree preferred.
This position qualifies for a $1,250 Welcome Bonus (some restrictions apply).
