About the Role:

As a Driver, your mission is to ensure that transportation runs smoothly from start to finish each day. It is important to maintain a standard of excellence where everyone is given an opportunity to become the best version of themselves. Drivers will provide quality transportation services, keeping the safety of participants and staff as the top priority.

Driver will provide transportation for 5-10 participants to and from the center, using company vehicles. You will have the chance to start and end their day on a positive note, and you'll find that they give you as much joy as you give them! This is a very part-time position but can be combined with another part-time role if applicant is interested in learning more and qualifies for the other role.

Expected Outcomes:

Within 15 Days:

• Thoroughly understand Stepping Stone’s mission, programs, and methodologies.
• Build rapport with staff and participants and familiarize yourself with driving routes.

Within 30 Days:

• Demonstrate dependability in completing assigned shifts.
• Develop an increased comfort level with participant interactions.

Within 45 Days:

• Master the procedure for completing routes efficiently and safely.
• Model positive, supportive participant interactions.

Need to Have:

• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience or strong desire to work with an at-risk population
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to drive safely and responsibly while ensuring top-notch care of passengers
• Within the past three (3) years, you must not have a Type A violation or more than two (2) Type B violations on your driving record.
• Physical Requirements:
  • • Support mobility and transfers
    • Lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Stand and walk for extended periods
    • Perform bending, kneeling, and reaching
    • Support evacuations and safety procedures
    • Maintain CPR cert. and be able to perform CPR on the ground
    • Be physically able to respond quickly in emergency situations
      

Nice to Have:

• Previous experience transporting individuals with disabilities

Schedule:

• TBD, based on open routes; morning and afternoon routes are approximately within these time frames
  • 7:15 – 8:45 AM (Monday- Friday)
  • 3:15 – 4:45 PM (Monday- Thursday) and 11:45 AM – 1:15 PM (Fridays)

Location:

• All driving routes start and end at our center: 9032 W. Ken Caryl Ave. in Littleton, CO

Pay Rate:

• $20/hour
