Opening Shift Teacher

The Father's House Child Development Center is seeking a dependable Teacher to join our team for our opening shift. This position plays an important role in preparing the classroom for the day, welcoming children and families, and creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, punctual, enjoys working with children, and works well as part of a team.

• Open and prepare for the start of each day.
• Welcome children and families in a warm and professional manner.
• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the assigned classroom.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and daily routines.
• Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Maintain accurate attendance and classroom documentation.
• Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and center policies.
• Assist with daily cleaning and sanitation of classrooms and common areas, including eating areas and bathrooms.
• Assist in other classrooms as needed to support ratios and daily center operations.
• Participate in required staff meetings, trainings, and professional development.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet all applicable background check and health requirements.
• Ability to complete all required training and professional development.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to arrive on time for scheduled opening shifts.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to actively supervise and engage with children throughout the workday.

• Experience working in a childcare or early childhood education setting.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Coursework or credentials in early childhood education.
