Early Childhood - Teacher Assistant/Aide for Toddlers

The Teacher Assistant plays a vital role in supporting our Teachers and Director in creating a nurturing environment for children. This role requires exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. By assisting in the development of positive relationships with children, parents, and staff, the Teacher Assistant is also responsible for observing and documenting children's progress and interests, and sharing this information with parents and staff. Under the guidance of the Teacher and Director, Teacher Assistants design and implement engaging activities that cater to the unique needs and interests of the children.

• Collaborate with teachers to design and implement engaging curricula activities that promote child participation.
• Supervise daily activities, ensuring a clean and well-organized classroom environment.
• Establish open communication channels with parents through regular updates and progress reports.
• Model healthy habits and self-care practices to promote good hygiene among children.
• Streamline daily transitions from home to child care center, ensuring a seamless experience for all.
• Comply with all center policies and state regulations.
• Develop and maintain a personal professional development plan to drive continuous quality improvement.

• Ability to work well with others.
• Consistent, reliable attendance.
• Must clear full background check.
• Leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• An understanding of child development.
• High energy.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• Common Sense.

• Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification would be an asset.
• A degree in Early Childhood Education or a commitment to pursuing further education is desirable.
• Previous experience in a Child Care setting would be beneficial.
