Position SummaryThe CNA / Direct Care Worker provides compassionate, hands-on support to help clients maintain their independence, dignity, and overall well-being. This role focuses on assisting with daily living activities, supporting routines, and observing and reporting changes in client conditions or needs. Working onsite in Westland, MI, you will build trusting relationships with clients while collaborating with team members to ensure care is delivered consistently, safely, and with respect.
Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Living Assistance: Assist clients with activities of daily living while following individualized care expectations and established routines.
Personal Care: Support mobility, personal hygiene, meal support, and other day-to-day needs with professionalism and dignity.
Transportation & Errands: Safely transport clients to and from doctor appointments, and assist with grocery shopping and other essential errands.
Light Housekeeping: Help maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment, which may include assisting with client laundry and light tidying.
Observation & Documentation: Monitor and document client status, including changes in behavior, health, or comfort needs.
Communication: Communicate effectively with family members and/or the care team as appropriate to support continuity of care.
Active CNA license (if applying as a CNA) or relevant direct care experience.
Ability to provide consistent, compassionate direct care while maintaining client dignity at all times.
Strong reliability and readiness to work onsite full-time in Westland, MI.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client errands and appointments.
Willingness to follow care plans and safety procedures, including responding appropriately to changes in client needs.
Clear communication skills and the ability to document observations accurately.
Ability to assist with daily living activities as required by the role.
Prior experience in caregiving, direct care, or a similar support role.
Experience supporting clients with daily living and personal care tasks.
Familiarity with basic documentation practices to track client observations and care activities.
Comfort working in a team environment and maintaining client confidentiality.
