MDS Clinical Reimbursement Coordinator

At Chase County Care and Rehab, we're committed to delivering excellence in long-term care and skilled nursing services. We're seeking an experienced Clinical Reimbursement Coordinator/MDS Nurse to join our dedicated team in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas.

Competitive Salary: $41 - $45 HOURLY

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of residents' conditions and develop comprehensive care plans to ensure optimal reimbursement

  • Accurately and efficiently collect and submit Medicare/Medicaid data to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement

  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, and healthcare professionals

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless communication and care coordination

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports, adhering to all regulatory and compliance standards

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or director of nursing

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure with the KS Board of Nursing

  • Current CPR certification

  • 1-2 years of experience as an MDS Coordinator / Clinical Reimbursement Coordinator

  • Good organization skills

  • Experience with 3.0, PPS, and Case Mix

  • Ability to pass license check, background check, and drug screen

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPPA regulations

  • Desire to work with the elderly
