Job Description
A Registered Nurse opportunity in the Emergency Department (Pediatrics focus) at a 198-bed, Level III trauma center in Farmington, NM — serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah.
The role. This RN position is based in a 48-bed Emergency Department (with flex space) that operates on a team nursing and Pod System model, with a social worker and unit educator embedded in the department. Patient ratios are 4:1 in the main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track. The unit sees a broad patient population including those presenting with ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, and psychiatric conditions, as well as cases involving substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, CHF, abdominal pain, and chest pain. Core clinical competencies drawn on daily include trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation. The department uses Cerner as its EHR and is equipped with Zoll Defibrillators, Level One Blood Transfusers, QinFlow Blood Warmers, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle and Istat POC, and Ultrasound Guided IV.
What we're looking for.
- RN — Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in Emergency Department nursing
- Experience with trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation required
- BLS required upon submission. All other required certifications can be obtained after hire; please refer to Life Support Certification document in attachments.
- Open to candidates who do not hold New Mexico or Compact licensure. Candidates must obtain prior to start.
Schedule. Day shift.
Compensation. $31.00 - $46.50/hr plus $2 sign-on bonus
