Life Enrichment Coordinator
Job Description
Summary Responsible for encouraging and facilitating the most practical and enriching lives possible for our elders. The Life Enrichment Coordinator allows for social, physical, intellectual, cultural and spiritual needs to be met by each resident. This highly creative position requires self-motivation to implement programs and activities on a day-to-day basis
Essential Functions

· Create a positive culture through effective programming and events. Collectively facilitates programs while working in partnership with Life Enrichment colleagues.
· Act as an advisor that encourages elders to set new goals in all dimensions of wellness and engage with programming. Serves as the liaison to the clinical team effectively communicating on elder’s health and wellbeing.
· Responsible for planning, implementing, and facilitating activities that take place outside the facility while ensuring the safety of the participants.
Required Skills/Abilities
Consistent execution of quality customer service. Maintains and demonstrates ethical conduct. Able to effectively communicate with geriatric and/or confused residents and a variety of other people such as family members, visitors, vendors, Private Duty Residents, and staff. Positive and constructive attitude. Self-reliant, creative, good problem solver, results-oriented. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel preferred. General knowledge of psychological/medical terminology preferred. General knowledge of Jewish cultural and religious traditions a plus.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervision responsibilities.
Working Environment & Physical Demands
This position is required to regularly work on campus.
Works in a well-lit and well-ventilated facility. May be exposed to confused, belligerent or physically aggressive residents, may be exposed to contagious diseases and mental stress. Subject to frequent interruptions. Manual dexterity, good vision and hearing is required. Hours of work can be irregular with seasonal highs and lows in the program.

Required Education, Experience, Licenses, and Certifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· 1 – 3 years’ similar experience working with activities and life enrichment for adults required.
· Familiarity with electronic clinical records systems preferred.
· Experience in medical business office, electronic billing methods, accounting standards for adjustments and refunds and cash posting preferred.
· CPR/AED and First Aid certification required.
· Food Handler’s Card required.
· Current Oregon or Washington driver’s license required.
