The Industrial Electro- Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electro-mechanical systems within a CNC-driven manufacturing environment. This role requires advanced knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical components, CNC machinery, and industrial automation to ensure maximum equipment uptime and production efficiency.


Work Schedule: This is a full-time, benefits eligible position requiring 40 hours per week. Core work schedule is Monday – Friday from 6:30am – 3:00pm. Individual must be flexible to work overtime as needed.


Salary: $32-$36 per hour


Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Diagnoses, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machines, including mills, lathes, and multi-axis , bar feeders and associated equipment
  • Maintain and repair electrical systems including motors, drives (VFDs/servos), PLCs, and control panels
  • Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, ladder logic, and mechanical drawings
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Install, align, and calibrate mechanical components such as ball screws, spindles, bearings, and couplings
  • Support CNC control systems (Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, or similar), including basic parameter adjustments and fault recovery
  • Repair, retrofit & upgrade of mechanical Swiss style machines and feeders
  • Assist with equipment upgrades, retrofits, and new machine installations
  • Utilize diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and software interfaces
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage in CMMS system
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and performance
  • Continued training on equipment will be required for this position, this may be in-house or require company paid travel and will be < 5% of you working time annually.

Requirements:

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in an industrial maintenance role, preferably in a CNC manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Industrial electrical systems (AC/DC, motors, drives)
    • PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent)
    • CNC machine operation and maintenance
    • Mechanical systems and precision alignment
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical documentation
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with HMI systems and industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, etc.)
  • CNC programming knowledge (G-code) is a plus
  • Welding and fabrication skills
  • Lean Six Sigma experience
