Job Description

American Workforce Group has partnered with a premier, full-service landscaping leader in Cowlitz County, WA to hire dedicated, full-time Landscapers. In this active, outdoors position, you will install commercial and residential plant life, lay paver patios, build walkways, and assist with complete site transformations. If you bring a strong work ethic, a safety-first mindset, and love working outdoors in a team environment, let's get you on the crew!
- Plant trees, shrubs, hedges, flowers, and ground cover for residential and commercial properties.
- Assist with hardscape installations including paver patios, walkways, retaining walls, and outdoor living features.
- Prepare soil, grade land, install mulch/bark dust, and lay sod cleanly according to site design specs.
- Safely operate landscape equipment, power tools, lawn machinery, and hand tools.
- Interact courteously with property owners and maintain a clean, safe jobsite environment.
Details for Landscaper:
- Pay Rate: $18.00 – $20.00 / hour (Scaling based on experience).
- Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Consistent daytime schedule with weekends OFF!).
- Location: Cowlitz County, WA project sites.
- Position Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire path featuring long-term company growth.
Requirements for Landscaper:
- 1+ year of prior professional landscaping or hardscaping experience strongly preferred.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record strictly required.
- Strong safety orientation and comfortable working outdoors in all Pacific Northwest weather conditions.
- Good communication skills and customer service attitude when interfacing with clients.
- Physical capability to perform heavy outdoor labor—standing, bending, stooping, digging, and lifting 50–75 lbs regularly.
- Exceptional record of daily attendance, prompt punctuality, and jobsite reliability.
