QUALIFICATIONS:
- NY barred and admitted
- 1+ years experience with Insurance Defense
- Experience with any of the following areas is a plus: Construction, Labor Law, Premise Liability, Commerical Litigation, Insurance Defense
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters from inception through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery demands and responses
- Take and defend depositions
- Attend court appearances, conferences, mediations, and arbitrations
- Conduct legal research and prepare dispositive motions
- Communicate regularly with insurance carriers and clients
- Prepare cases for trial and assist with trial strategy
- Negotiate settlements when appropriate
