OSP Construction Manager

Construction Manager - OSP Underground Fiber
Location: Dayton, OH (Local candidates preferred)
Type: Contract with strong potential for extension or full-time conversion

We're seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee a large-scale underground fiber construction project in the Dayton area. This role is responsible for managing multiple subcontractor crews, coordinating daily field operations, ensuring quality and safety compliance, tracking production, and serving as the primary point of contact between field teams, inspectors, and project leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily underground fiber construction activities
• Manage 7-10 subcontractor crews across multiple job sites
• Ensure compliance with engineering plans, permits, and restoration requirements
• Track production, validate subcontractor invoices, and provide progress reporting
• Coordinate with inspectors, traffic control vendors, municipalities, and property owners
• Maintain OSHA safety standards and project documentation

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of telecommunications construction experience
• 3+ years in a Construction Manager or supervisory role
• Strong background in underground OSP fiber construction
• Experience managing subcontractors and field crews
• Ability to read engineering drawings and utility prints
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Valid driver's license
