Status: Full Time Position - Hourly non-exempt

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Field Technician II to join our team. This is the second of three levels of field service technician work. As a Field Technician Level II, you will receive limited supervision and will be responsible for independently handling varied work assignments of moderate scope and complexity. You will work independently or as a member of a team installing, servicing, or repairing equipment at a customer location. In addition, you will be responsible for guiding, training, and supervising Level I technicians. This position requires extensive local and long-distance

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and resolve technical issues of moderate scope and complexity related to Eaglestone products and systems at customer sites.
  • Conduct mechanical, electronic, or other specialized troubleshooting to diagnose problems and develop effective technical solutions.
  • Guide, train, and supervise a team of Level I technicians, ensuring Eaglestone standards are being met including, but not limited to, installation quality, safety requirements, travel requirements, and paperwork requirements.
  • Handle on-site field tasks independently, including the installation, field servicing, and repair of equipment.
  • Assist in assembling and building conveyor systems and other Eaglestone equipment in the shop when not deployed on-site.
  • Manage physical tasks on-site, including the lifting, handling, maintaining, and operation of heavy machinery and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of all field activities, including service reports, parts inventory, and proper compliance documentation.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing customer inquiries and technical concerns.
  • Adhere to all Safety policies and procedures continuing to promote the Company's culture of providing a safe work environment
  • Maintain a positive and proactive attitude towards all colleagues, members of Management, and customers.
  • Ability to work on other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Skills/Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Field Technician or similar role, preferably in a technical or engineering field.
  • Strong technical knowledge and proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electronic, or other specialized equipment systems.
  • Proven capability to work independently with limited supervision and make sound decisions in a fast-paced on-site environment.
  • Knowledgeable on conveyor, conveyance systems, and related material-handling equipment.
  • Strong Team Management and leadership skills to effectively guide, supervise, and motivate Level I Team Members.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with customers, Team Members and Leadership.
  • Detail oriented with good organizational and time management abilities.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular business hours and travel extensively both in-state and out-of-state as required
  • High School Diploma/GED or 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work and customer sites.
  • Ability to lift 25-50 lbs.

Compensation: $30.00 - $34.00

  • Ability for some overtime throughout the year depending on business needs.
  • Paid weekly in arrears each Friday.

Work Location and Schedule:

  • Position requires you to be in the field at customer locations.
  • When not traveling to customer locations you are required to be in the Naperville shop.
  • Position requires in-state and out of state traveling.
  • Rotating schedule between other Field Technicians
  • Weekend work required.
