Director of Child Care

• Directs, organizes and administers child care programs.
• Level 1 or 2 with atleast 3 years of experience working in either a 3 or 4 SCALES rated center.
• A working knowledge of DCDEE licensing standards and the ability to implement and teach licensing compliance is a priority.
• Directs integrated programs covering basic childcare, education, social service, nutrition and parent involvement and education.
• Supervises the development and coordination of curriculum, activities and special programs for children.
• Develops and manages childcare program budgets.
• Ensures program operations are following donor, grant or regulatory agencies requirements.
• Liaises with parent groups and coordinates the implementation of support services and activities.
• Implements suggestions received from parents as appropriate.
• Ensures adherence to established admissions guidelines.
• Ensures adequate records and files are maintained for each child.
• Generates reports as required based on program activity.
• Directs the maintenance of the childcare facility, parking area, play yards and outside equipment.
